The GRUEN Story
Henry Gruen was an inventor, designer, and visionary of bathroom design. In 1946, he designed an easy-to-install comfort bathtub and received his first patent for it. Others followed for innovative bathroom elements such as mixing faucets or anti-slip floors. His solutions impressively demonstrate that Henry Gruen had both simplicity and safety for the tradesperson, and design and comfort for the user in mind. His story inspired us to create the GRUEN brand.

Over 50 Years of Experience
Behind GRUEN is the over 50-year history of its parent company, Evimetal in Istanbul, with outstanding expertise in stainless steel processing & plastics technology and decades of experience with shower drain and bathroom design solutions. The company is currently managed by the Altunç brothers. All three are architects & designers. Evimetal products have won national and international design awards. The company is a state-recognized Design Center. Millions of Evimetal's shower drains and profiles have been installed. Reference projects include top hotels and residential properties in Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.
Responsible Conduct
Sustainable action is our responsibility. Wherever possible, we use cardboard instead of plastic, for example for construction protection covers. We have deliberately opted for a very reduced packaging print using environmentally friendly ink and utilize recyclable, uncoated cardboard boxes. We also constantly optimize our manufacturing processes with regard to energy consumption.
